We want Buzzy Games to be as fun as possible but we need rules in place for both kids and their parents or guardians to follow to ensure we are able to operate at our very best.

In these terms and conditions, “we” “us”,  “our”, “Buzzy Games” and “Buzzy” refers to Buzzy Pty Ltd.

Your access to and use of all information on this website including purchase of our product and service is provided subject to the following terms and conditions.   We reserve the right to amend this Notice at any time and your use of the website or app following any amendments will represent your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions as amended.

The Three Buzzy Rules

Our three Buzzy Rules for Game Jams are explained to kids in simplistic form at the start of week 1, here they are for parents and guardians to understand.

  1. Always remember you are on video.
This means Buzzy Games, Buzzy Coaches and other teammates will see and hear you. Anyone visible on the videos must wear clothes and use appropriate kid-friendly language and behaviour.   Behaviour on calls must not be offensive to other teammates or Coaches.
  2. Respect for teammate and Coach on the call.
This means no talking over the Coach or other teammates and no negative sentiment towards others.
  3. Don’t ‘hack’ others games unless you’re given permission.
During the game jams kids will be given the opportunity to alter the code  (called hacking during the Buzzy Game Jams) of other teammates games but outside of the game jams, they are only allowed to alter the code of their own games.

If any person willfully ignores one of the three rules outlined above we will discuss the issue first with them directly on the Game Jam, and then if the problem continues with their parent or guardian. Failure to amend behaviour will result in removal from the game jams.

Accompanying Adult

Buzzy Games is in no way responsible for your child while they are on the video calls. Buzzy Games requires a responsible adult to be with the child in the home and in either the same room or in a room close by when they are on their game jam.

Image Uploads and Use

All images uploaded or sent to Buzzy Games must be approved by a parent or guardian for use online and viewable to all potential users of Buzzy Games.

Technical Issues

Any problems regarding a user’s personal computer or internet service provider are not the responsibility of Buzzy Games. It is strongly recommended that a headset with a microphone is used to get maximum benefit and enjoyment from Buzzy Games.

Recording of Buzzy Game Jams

All sessions will be recorded for kids and parents to watch and are available for them for 30 days.  Buzzy Games will keep the video for a maximum of 90 days for further training for Coaches and to be used for dispute resolutions.

Missed Game Jams and Rescheduling by Participants
‍Unless otherwise agreed in writing by us, all courses shall commence on the date specified by us in the confirmation email.  It is the responsibility of the individual to remember to join the Buzzy Game Jams by video on time each week. You may reschedule to a different time and date up to 48 hours before week 1 has commenced.   After week 1 has commenced changing teams may not be possible. Due to the team based nature and short course, missed game jams cannot be made up at another time, instead, all course material and access to the Buzzy Games site and missed game jam video will allow them to catch up in their own time.

Rescheduled Sessions by Buzzy Games

Due to the human nature of Coaching, it means we occasionally need to postpone a game jam, when this happens we do our utmost to reschedule to another time when everyone can join and provide as much notice as we can.

Late joining

Due to the short time frame of the game jams, and the detrimental impact it has on other teammates a child may join late or leave a game jam early, but the Coach is not responsible for them catching up, the Coach has a primary obligation to the teammates who joined on time.

Contacting Coaches

You may only contact the Coach during the Game Jam. Other means of communication is prohibited and must be made via Buzzy Games at team@buzzygames.com.au. Information must not be solicited from a Coach and you agree that if any Coach ever discloses such information to you, asks you for any personal information or suggests any offline meeting or conversation, you will immediately report this to us.

Child Protection

Buzzy Games has created measures to ensure the safety of both kids and Coaches.  Every Buzzy Coach has a Working With Children Check. It is expected that parents and guardians are in a room close by or present during the Game Jams and are expressly welcomed at all times.
